Travel Lessons can be used for teachers and learners as supplement material to WORDPIE videos. Students get the opportunity to listen to the dialogue which can be repeated or changed to make it more personable. Use the dialogue as role-play and take advantage of the sound files for each sentence! It’s an engaging activity for students that is fun and motivating. This post features vocabulary words featured in any of the 1/40 WORDPIE videos which are airport, train, subway, taxi, bus, and bridge.

A traveller asks someone for directions.

A: Excuse me, do you know where the bus stop is?

B: Yes, it’s around the corner.

A: Thank you. Does this bus take me to the botanical gardens?

B: No, you will have to walk further and take the subway.

A: Would it be easier to take a taxi?

B: Yes, it would. But it will cost you.

A: Right. Ok, thank you very much.

B: Are you travelling around Europe?

A: Yes, I arrived at Frankfurt airport and took the train to Paris.

B: Well, it was nice meeting you!

A; You too! Thank you for helping me.
